The copilot is the assistant that can take you to a screen, highlight where everything is and, if you ask it to, fill in and save on your behalf. Before saving anything it always asks you to confirm — it never does anything behind your back.
Three things have to be true at once for it to work: you turn it on for a channel (section 2), your developer has installed the corresponding code on that site with its own manifest (manual 57, if the channel is your own website — the Platform’s own “Assistant” panel already comes with its own manifest ready), and that manifest is approved. If any one of the three is missing, the chat keeps working exactly as before — just without the copilot’s capabilities.
Note — It ships turned off by default
The copilot doesn’t turn itself on just by connecting a channel, and no action turns itself on just by approving a manifest — every layer (channel, manifest, action one by one) is an explicit decision you make.
Requirements: turning on the copilot, approving manifests and turning on its actions is exclusive to the Admin role.
