It can happen that the plan you’re on stops including “Bring your own AI provider” — for example, if you switch to a plan that doesn’t have it, or if the platform (or your partner, if your account is white-label) turns it off for your account.
Warning — Immediate effect, from your very next conversation — no “grace minutes”
As soon as the feature is turned off for your account, your own key stops being used from the next conversation onward — there’s no grace period or “grace minutes” while the change spreads. From that moment on, your conversations go back to being answered with the AI included in your plan, and that usage is billed as normal. You’ll get a notice (bell and, depending on your preferences, email) informing you of the change.
Your key isn’t deleted — it stays saved, encrypted, and the “Bring your own AI provider” tab stops appearing in Settings (just as if you’d never had the feature activated, section 1). If the feature is ever reactivated for your account, your key goes back to being used automatically, without you having to configure it again. And at all times, even while the feature is off, you keep your right to delete your own key if you ask support to.
