**Requirements:** Admin role.

1. Open Google Drive's **Details**, go to the **Status** tab and click **Disconnect**.
2. Confirm in the warning — this action can't be undone.

**Result:** syncing stops immediately. Documents that had already been synced to your knowledge base **aren't automatically deleted** — they stay there just like a document you'd uploaded by hand; delete them manually from Knowledge base (Manual 21) if you no longer want them.

> **Note — Your files remain yours**
>
> Your files and folders always live in **your own Google Drive account** — disconnecting only removes your provider's service account access; it doesn't delete or modify anything in your Drive. If you want to revoke access completely, you can also stop sharing your files with the service account's email from Google Drive itself.
