The form itself includes, by expanding **"Help by common provider"**, a cheat sheet with the details of the
most common providers — it's just help information: you still fill in the same generic IMAP/SMTP fields
above with those values, there's no special "Gmail" or "Outlook" checkbox.

| Provider | What you need to know |
| --- | --- |
| **Gmail** | Requires an **app password** — never your normal Google password. It's generated in your Google account (Security → App passwords) and requires two-step verification to be turned on for that Google account. |
| **Outlook / Microsoft 365** | `imap-mail.outlook.com` (port 993) and `smtp-mail.outlook.com` (port 587); may also require an app password if you have two-step verification on. |
| **IONOS** | `imap.ionos.com` (port 993) and `smtp.ionos.com` (port 587). |
| **OVH** | `ssl0.ovh.net` for both IMAP and SMTP (ports 993 and 587). |
| **cPanel / traditional hosting** | Usually `mail.your-domain.com` for both IMAP and SMTP; check with your hosting provider if unsure. |

> **Warning — Gmail and Outlook, step by step**
>
> For Gmail: go into your Google account → **Security** → turn on **two-step verification** if you don't
> have it → **App passwords** → generate a new one and paste it exactly as-is into this form's "Password"
> field (not the password you use to sign in to Gmail). For Outlook/Microsoft 365 with two-step
> verification, the path is the equivalent one in your Microsoft account: generate an app-specific password
> for this use.
