Tap **Connect** on the mailbox's card to open the **Email** panel, with the full form. You need the same
details you'd use to set up that mail account in a desktop client (Outlook, Thunderbird…): the incoming
server (IMAP), the outgoing server (SMTP), and the access credentials.

| Field | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| **Email address** | The address of the mailbox you're connecting — for example `support@your-business.com`. Required. |
| **Display name** (optional) | Shows up next to the address as the sender's name on the emails the agent sends — for example "Customer Support". |
| **IMAP server** / **Port** | The **incoming** server, where the agent reads arriving emails from. Default port **993**. |
| **Use SSL/TLS** | Encryption for the IMAP connection. On by default — the vast majority of providers require it. |
| **SMTP server** / **Port** | The **outgoing** server, where the agent sends its replies from. Default port **587**. |
| **Use STARTTLS** | Encryption for the SMTP connection. On by default. |
| **Username** | Usually the same email address, though some providers use a different username (for example, without the domain). |
| **Password** | The mailbox's password — or an **app password**, depending on the provider (section 5). It's never shown again once saved. |

> **Note — Advanced options: sync interval**
>
> Expanding "Advanced options" lets you adjust how often the mailbox is checked for new messages — every
> **60 seconds** by default, with a minimum of **30 seconds**. In the normal case there's no need to touch
> it.
